A distant memory is an abstract image that I had taken some time ago. It was taken in the country in North Carolina. This is how I imagine people who are suffering from Alzheimer's Disease remember things as the disease progresses. Hopefully, one day a cure for this disease will be found. This cause is near and dear to me. I've had several friends and a few family members suffer from this disease and watch their memory degenerate as the disease progressed.
